Delivery and packing

20' ISO bundles

Modules are delivered in kit form, to be assembled at final site. Typically 4 modular units in collapsed form are packed together as a "bundle" with ISO 20' size, so that 4 modules can be delivered at the cost of a single 20' container, with significant saving on transportation expenses. The quantity of modules composing a 20' bundle can vary from 3 to 6 depending on the components included/excluded in the supply.

Packing inside 40' HC ISO containers

Modular units — disassembled — can be loaded inside a 40' HC container — typically 6 modules in a 40' HC container. This quantity can vary depending on the dimensions of the modules and on the components included/excluded in the supply.

Bundles with NON-ISO dimensions

Modules can also be packed together in "bundles" with ISO or NON-ISO dimensions and loaded onto bulk carriers.

ISO Conversions and Speedy kits

Sogeco Living ISO conversions

We supply the ISO container that is then modified according to the customer's design and specifications. Materials used for panels, insulation, floor, and ceiling can be of different kinds and fire rated. Electrical systems comply with a number of international standards. Doors and windows are available in different styles, materials, and sizes. Speedy Kit is an easy-to-fit way to convert any ISO maritime container (either new or second hand) into an accommodation unit. It is delivered in kits (normally inside 40' HC units to minimize shipment costs) which have to be installed on site. The standard speedy kit includes: sandwich panels to insulate walls and ceiling; 2 sandwich panels with 1 door and 1 window for the front wall (mounted right behind the container's double door, so there is no need for any cut out in the container); all fitting parts and finishing trims (steel sheet and aluminum made). As an option we also supply PVC flooring, electrical package, and additional items according to customer's need (plumbing, internal partitions, ...). Fitting time: about 2 hours (2 people) for a standard kit for 20', excluding electrics.

Flat-Pack Components

For whom

For manufacturers of accommodation solutions with industrial space, basic equipment and experience in mechanical-steel manufacturing, welding and assembly, willing to add flat packs in their product range.

How

Through a tailor-made agreement with Sogeco Living, a local company can produce modern, full-specs flat packs without the need to invest in new, expensive machines and in the design.

Step 1

Production

Sogeco Living supplies the "body" of the container (i.e. all the single steel components of the frames).

Production — Sogeco Living

Step 2

Shipment

These components are loaded, un-welded, inside an ISO container, and shipped to the warehouse of the customer. Up to 45 frames 6 meters long can be stored in a 40' ISO High Cube container, depending on the chosen model and size of the flatpack.

Shipment — Sogeco Living

Step 3

Fabrication

The components are welded by the local manufacturer in its facility, to create the frame of the flat pack. OPTION: the components can be manufactured for being bolted together (not welded) to save time during assembly.

Fabrication — Sogeco Living

Step 4

Assembly additional components

The customer fits all additional components (floor, walls, roof, doors, windows, electrics, etc.) procured locally and turns the frame into a complete flat pack.
